Period 5 Identity and Pandemic Magazine

In this project, grade 8 social studies students studied identity through the lense of the Covid 19 pandemic. In order to respond to the question “How is the pandemic impacting our personal and social identities?”, students engaged in learning activities, readings, discussions, and then applied what they learned to their own lives, experiences, and observations. These magazine articles are the products of self and social examination and are intended to serve as a real-time primary sources about life during the pandemic for our community and for future generations. Students discuss the pandemic’s impact on mental health, racism, social groups, family life, personality and more. We hope you enjoy!
